Rooted in the ancient hills of Nepal, our community spans across districts and continents, yet remains connected by a single paternal line.

The Kausik Gotra: Spiritually and genealogically, we trace our lineage back to the Vedic sage Rishi Vishvamitra (Kaushika). This shared Gotra binds us as Bandhus (clan brothers and sisters) through sacred paternal blood.

Pokhara Nepal
The place is incredible for doing paragliding if the weather is nice. I highly recommend it if you're around here, it worths the trip you have to do to reach this little village. You can go by car or bus.. but this takes 7 hours... but if I go there again( I hope) I will do it by plane.
OUR ROOTS
The physical roots of the Sanjel clan lie in the Karnali Zone of Western Nepal, specifically centered around the ancient Sinja Valley (modern-day Jumla district)

Following the fragmentation of the Khas Malla Empire, Sanjel ancestors migrated eastward along the Himalayan foothills. They settled heavily in mid-hill districts like Kavrepalanchowk, Nuwakot, Dhading, Makwanpur, and eventually spread into eastern Nepal (Bhojpur, Ilam) and urban Kathmandu.
Spiritually and genealogically, the Sanjel roots trace back to Brahmarishi Vishvamitra (originally King Kaushika). Because they belong to the Kausik Gotra, all Sanjels consider themselves the cosmic descendants of this ancient Vedic sage.
